The World Cup 2026, will be held from June 11 to July 19, 2026. For the 23rd edition of this interplanetary competition, Canada, Mexico, and the United States will be the host countries. This is the first time in history that the World Cup 2026 will be held in three different host countries and will feature 48 countries instead of the usual 32 countries.
After defeating France (3-3, 4-2 on penalties) at the 2022 World Cup, Argentina will defend its title and attempt to become the third country in history to retain its crown in two consecutive editions.
The opening match will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The grand finale will take place on Sunday, July 19, 2026 in New York.
