Location of Horseshoe Bend
Where is Horseshoe Bend? Well…. in the American West. Okay, more seriously, Horseshoe Bend is located in Arizona, at the border with the state of Utah. The closest city is Page while Las Vegas and St. George are respectively 4H30 and 2H45 aways from the area. Both can be accessed via Highway 89.
How to Get to Horseshoe Bend?
As mentioned right above, Horseshoe Bend is located right next to highway 89. On the highway, you will only need to take a turn on the parking and find a spot. There is no gate, but you will need to pay for your parking spot at one of the fee kiosks. Once out of your vehicle and your hiking shoes ready to go, you can walk the 1.5 miles trails leading you to the overlook. The trail is a hardened path, out and back, and most people take about 30min to get it done, unless you’re a desert turtle. It would take significantly longer.
The trail to get to the overlook is ADA compliant and accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. Pets and kids are welcomed to the area, but dogs need to be on leash. We would also recommend to be watchful with kids. The overlook of Horseshoe bend has fences, but some area do not and a lot of people like to climb those.

How much does Horseshoe Bend cost?
Well, we will begin by saying that the America The Beautiful Pass is not usable in Horseshoe Bend. Since the parking is managed by the city of Page, the entrance fees need to be paid on site.

Staying Around Horseshoe Bend
Where to stay when visiting horseshoe bend? The most popular place is probably the city of Page. Well known by roadtripers, the city features some hotels, stores and restaurants. The big advantage of Page is its proximity with Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. It is also fairly close to the south rim of Grand Canyon National Park.
