San Diego has a mild mediterranean climate with hot, dry summer and cool, wet winter. Temperatures are generally around 75-80F during summer and winter around 65-70F during the day. The average humidity is about 70% and there’s very little wind.
Best Time to Visit
Fall (March - May) and Spring (September - November) are usually the best seasons to visit San Diego as they both feature good weather while not being crowded.

How many days are needed to visit San Diego?
The time you need to spend in San Diego all depends on the amount of places you would like to see. A fair minimum is probably 2 to 3 days. This allows you to explore the popular attractions and neighborhoods of the city. However, there are enough attractions to spend a lot more time in San Diego.
Is San Diego safe?
Generally speaking, San Diego is a safe city as long as you remain in the well frequented areas. Except for perhaps the Gas lamp quarter, we never felt unsafe. We simply recommend exercising usual precautions.
Is San Diego worth visiting?
Yes! Thanks to the city’s location and history, there is plenty to see and do. If you enjoy museums, architecture or theme parks, you will find something you like. And if you just like to lie on the beach underneath the hot sun, you do this too.
